The company will invest in its production lines, aligning its manufacturing facility within Industry 4.0 standards.
SAS is one of the beneficiaries of the recent increase in the credit limit from the Funding Authority for Studies and Projects (Finep), made possible by Badesul Desenvolvimento. The company has already secured R$ 2.5 million for investments in the innovation area within this credit line.
Last Friday, June 21, SAS's administrative director, Josiele Stuani, signed a contract for R$ 1.8 million at an event hosted by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation at the Banco do Brasil Superintendency in Porto Alegre.
The investment will generate more jobs and lead to the automation and modernization of the production lines at the company, aligning the manufacturing facility with Industry 4.0 standards. “These investments will be made in the second half of 2024 and will enable the production of items with advanced embedded technology,” Josiele declared, highlighting the importance of projects in this area and reinforcing one of the company's pillars: innovation.
The event was also attended by the Minister of Science and Technology, Luciana Barbosa de Oliveira Santos; the president of Finep, Celso Pansera; the executive vice-president of Fiergs, Gilberto Porcello Petry; the chief minister of the Secretariat of Reconstruction of RS, Paulo Pimenta; and the vice-president and director of operations of BRDE, Ranolfo Vieira Júnior, who throughout the day held several meetings aimed at helping and fostering the reconstruction of Rio Grande do Sul.
Additionally:
The availability of resources within the credit line increased from R$ 133.1 million to R$ 286.2 million, earmarked for investments in innovative companies headquartered or with branches in Rio Grande do Sul.
